Terms and Conditions – ABCD Transport
1. Site Usage
• Users must be 18+ to place bookings.
• Any abusive, illegal, or offensive use of the site is prohibited.
• We reserve the right to restrict access to our platform at any time.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
2. Content Liability
ABCD Transport makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy or completeness of site content. Content is for general information only.
3. Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy or reproduce content from this site without consent
- Use the site for commercial gain without permission
- Engage in any form of abuse, spam, or disruption of our services
4. Copyright
All materials on this site are protected under copyright law. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.
5. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
6. Reviews and Feedback
- Only customers who have completed a booking can leave a review
- Offering compensation in exchange for removing or editing reviews is forbidden
- We reserve the right to edit or remove fake or harmful reviews
7. Payments
- Bookings are free. A deposit is required upfront; the balance is paid in cash to the driver
- Full pre-payment is optional at checkout
- Extras like waiting time, stairs, or stops are payable in cash on the day
8. Cancellation & Refunds
- 7+ days before: £5 admin fee deducted
- 1–7 days before: 65% of the deposit refunded
- Less than 24h: No refund
- Date changes: deposit is transferred
- Driver change: full refund offered
- Refunds apply to online deposits only, not cash paid to drivers
- Processing time: 5–10 working days
9. Goods-In-Transit
Transport providers usually hold goods-in-transit insurance up to £10,000. Actual value may vary.
10. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide accurate pickup/drop-off details and access info
- Reserve parking if needed
- Be ready to help lift (unless full team hired)
- Disassemble furniture in advance (unless added service)
- Ensure items are packed properly
- Check all items are loaded before departure
- Be present or assign someone to oversee the move
11. Travelling in the Van
- One passenger may ride with the driver if agreed in advance
- No children or passengers requiring car seats allowed
- Drivers may refuse passengers under the influence or ill
12. Helpers & Vehicle Size
- Choose from: driver only, driver + 1 helper, or full team
- We always provide a van that meets or exceeds the size selected
13. Data Privacy
We respect and protect your personal data according to our Privacy Policy.
14. Complaints
- Complaints must be submitted via email or contact form
- By using our platform, you waive liability claims against ABCD Transport
15. VAT
All prices are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
16. Non-Payment
Failure to pay may result in account suspension and reporting to relevant authorities.
17. Equipment
All vans come equipped with straps, dollies, blankets, and basic tools.
18. Prohibited Items
Illegal, dangerous, or prohibited goods will not be transported.
19. Booking Duration
- Minimum charge is 2 hour
- Additional time charged in 30-minute increments
- No refund for unused time if you overbooked
20. Extra Charges
- Congestion Charge (£15) is paid by the customer
- ULEZ/CAZ is covered by the transport provider
- Bridge tolls, parking, ferry fees are paid by the customer
21. Delays
We are not responsible for delays due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen events.
22. Damages
- Damage claims must be made within 24 hours
- Photos and repair/replacement costs must be submitted within 30 days
- Once the job is signed off and paid, no claims can be accepted
23. Discounts & Offers
Promotions apply to bookings of 2+ hours. Some providers may opt out of offers.
24. Low-Quality Furniture
We are not liable for damage to flat-pack or low-durability furniture (e.g. IKEA, Argos, The Range).
